Role responsibilities:

  • Being accurate and on time.
  • Filing tax returns using forms: 1040, Schedule A , Schedule B, and Schedule D, as well as forms supporting education credits, child care credits, and retirement credits.
  • This individual will continue learning bookkeeping and must possess the ability to understand basic accounting concepts.

Here’s the type of work you’ll be doing:

  • Checking data input or verifying totals on forms prepared by others, to detect errors in arithmetic, data entry or procedures.
  • Interviewing clients to obtain additional information on taxable income and deductible expenses and allowances.
  • Reviewing financial records in order to determine the forms needed to prepare tax returns.
  • Using all appropriate adjustments, deductions, and credits to keep clients’ taxes to a minimum.
  • Computing taxes owed or overpaid and completing entries on forms following tax form instructions and tax tables.
  • Working with auditors as required, providing required documentation.
  • Preparing or assisting in preparing simple to complex tax returns for small businesses or individuals.

You will need 1+ years of tax preparation experience and a California Tax Educational Council Certificate (CTEC).

Availability: Full time or part-time with flexible availability; may be asked to work weekends during seasonal peaks.

  • Preparing simple Trust Tax return (1041) and comfortably discussing issues regarding its construction with client or managing CPA.

Here’s the type of work you’ll be doing:

  • Preparing or assisting in preparation of simple to complex tax returns for individuals or small businesses.
  • Managing workload and completing within statutory and internal deadlines.
  • Reviewing financial records in order to determine the forms needed to prepare tax returns.
  • Using all appropriate adjustments, deductions and credits to keep clients’ taxes to a minimum.
  • Computing taxes owed or overpaid; and completing entries on forms following tax form instructions and tax tables.
  • Meeting with CEO to discuss current and future projects and clients.

You will need 3+ years of progressive CPA or Enrolled Agent experience.

  • Meeting with CEO to discuss current and future projects and clients.
