John Elhai, MBA, CPA, JD has more than 30 years’ experience in Accounting and Finance. Mr. Elhai has extensive industry experience in banking, public and private corporations, starting as a Commercial Lending Officer at Ernst and Young in their audit and litigation support departments, and at Grant Thornton in their Capital Markets department. In addition, he has served as the investment specialist for a boutique financial planning firm; served as the Corporate Treasurer for a $250mm division of a public company; and as the CFO of a mid-size manufacturer.

Mr. Elhai’s career has been focused on developing systems to improve workflow, reduce cost while improving service levels. As the founder of Mission Oaks Tax and Accounting, Inc., he specializes in the needs of individuals, small businesses, estates, and trusts. Mr. Elhai also provides Forensic Accounting and Fraud Examination services to his clients and the legal community. Additionally, he has been involved in several start-ups over the years.

Mr. Elhai received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from California Polytechnic University, Pomona with a major in Finance, Insurance and Real Estate. Mr. Elhai earned a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from California Lutheran University in Thousand Oaks, with a major in Finance with a focus on International Business. Mr. Elhai also holds a Doctor of Jurisprudence from Southern California Institute of Law.
